The standard we work to
This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the level that Manitoba accessibility standards ask businesses to meet online.
What you can expect
- Keyboard
- Every link, button and form field works with a keyboard, and you can always see where the focus is.
- Skip link
- The first link on every page jumps straight to the main content.
- Text size
- Text can be enlarged to 200 percent without losing content or scrolling sideways.
- Colour
- Text meets the WCAG contrast minimum, and nothing is shown by colour alone.
- Forms
- Every field has a visible label, and errors are explained in words next to the field.
- Photos
- Photos that carry information have a text description.
Known limits
The map on the home and Visit pages is a picture of the street grid. The address, the bus stop and the walking route are written next to it as text.
The site has no video or audio at present.
At the cafe
The entrance at 150 Foundry Lane is step-free, and service animals are welcome. The Visit page describes how to get here and the seating inside.
